Endurance Test Machine for Switches

Special machine to conduct the following tests.

(a) Making & breaking capacity test
(b) Endurance test
(c) Normal operation for fluorescent lamp

Unique salient feature : The digital system detects 'WELD' or 'OPEN' condition of switch and an Audio Visual alarm indication.

This machine will conduct test on samples having digital preset counter for number of operations. The Electromechanical or Pneumatic operation will be used with programmer to achieve all condition i.e. 7operations to 30 operations per minute.

Sensors offers Inductive Loads with following options to test switches and sockets as per IEC or IS for 'Normal Operation' and 'Making-Breaking' Tests.

Optionally variable voltage source with digital Voltmeter, Ammeter & Digital Power Factor Meter is available with above options.

ENDURANCE TEST OVEN 

 (FOR CAPACITORS)

The test oven is designed to meet the national and international requirement to test electrolyte and other electrical capacitors at elevated temperature.

The oven is having multiple drawers arrangement with bus-bar to connect capacitors with required increased voltage.

Micro controlled based drawer timers with individual time count in hours.

ENDURANCE TEST APPARATUS

 

The endurance test apparatus 6 Amps to 40 Amps as per CL. 9.11 of IS: 8828-1996 any one rating at a time . The system consists of following three parts:

  1. Control Panel
  2. Load Bank
  3. Test Stand

Sample Size : 1 No.
Maximum Capacity : 40 Amps.
Cos j: 0.5 to 0.9
Power Factor Meter: 1 No.
Amp. Meter: 1 No.
Volt Meter: 1 No.
Loading: Resistive & Inductive loading from 6A to 40 A Cont. variables Ammeter, Voltmeter and Power factor meter of AE.
Size 96 mm. (Analog) 96 mm. Sq (Digital) Mechanical arrangement consists of Pneumatic cylinder P.L.C. Control for setting the duration from 1 sec/ 14 sec.
Counter : 1 Nos. 6 Digit : System consist of alarm incase of open/close. Counter Meter circuit or weld of contact point.

 

Load

Load will be air cored inductor with taps and resistor bank, to obtain all test currents from 6 A to 40 A at 0.875 Pf.
Duty cycle will be 1 sec./14 sec. & 1 sec./29 sec. (rating based).
Reactor Shunt load of 0.6% will be provided.

Test Stand

Test stand will have electro pneumatic mechanism for MCB operation fitted with 24 V DC solenoid valve & flow controls, for one device at a time. All control interconnections between 3 equipment are included for distances within 3 meter. [Without Stabilizer.] & Fixture for Short circuit for endurance test.

 
 

10 STATION THERMAL TEST BENCH (FOR REAFFIRMATION FOR CALIBRATED MCB’s) FULL AUTOMATIC PC BASED

10 Station Thermal Test Bench (for reaffirmation for calibrated MCB’s) full automatic PC based.
Rating: 6 Amp to 63 Amp..

 

Technical Specification:

  • 10 SP MCB’s of any one rating from 6 Amp. to 63 Amps will be tested. All 10 stations will be in series.
  • Rating: 6-63 Amps
  • Test current will be DC 2.55 In of rating.
  • System capacity 180 Amp DC
  • Range selection will be through PC.
  • DC Solid-state constant current source of 30V-180Amp will be provided.
  • Current levels will be obtained through Digital Analog converter through PC
  • By pass will be sensed automatically through semiconductor sensing in series for each station.
  • There will be one Digital timer 999.9 sec. Range through 10 way switch for cross verification for timings obtained on PC.
  • There will be two fixture per station wired in parallel 20 x SP fixtures will be provided.
  • Acceptable time bands for all ratings will reside in PC. All 10 MCB’s will be loaded & test started as batch. At the end of test, monitor will show ‘Trip time” & will be of different trip depending on weather “Trip time” is O.K. or Not O.K.or early trip or over trip.

 
 

This machine will conduct test on samples having digital preset counter for operations. The Electromechanical or Pneumatic system used with programmer to achieve all condition i.e. 7operations to 30 operations per minute(depending upon rating and standard's requirement).

The necessary Digital Voltmeter and Ammeter C.T. operated will be used. On completion of test the machine will Automatically stopped.
